Work permits for international students across countries
There are many countries where a student can pursue after higher studies and remain back for some work. Their area of specialization doesn’t influence their possibilities of getting a work permit. Aside from this, the flourishing economy and excellent job opportunities make them a favourite destination amongst students who want to work abroad after completing their higher studies.
United Kingdom (UK)
With various reputed universities offering first-class education, the UK is one of the most pursued study-abroad destinations for worldwide students. However, the UK’s severe post-study on work visa rules make it less appealing among worldwide students. Graduates were allowed to stay back for a period of four months after completing studies combined with uncertainties over Brexit was the reason there was a sharp decline in students going to the UK.
Canada
After the USA, Canada has arisen as the most favorite study-abroad destination among Indian students because of friendly immigration policies. With a top-notch education system and a strong economy, Canada is overwhelming the USA as the highest choice for global students. Additionally, it allows graduates to stay back after completing their studies, irrespective of their field of education. Global students who have graduated from perceived Assigned Learning Foundations (DLIs) can apply for a Post-Graduation Work License (PGWP).
Germany
Germany is viewed as one of the most famous study-abroad destinations and ranks at #6 among different countries in the world. It allows graduates to stay back for a maximum of 18 months (Residence permit) and search for a job in their respective area of specialization. Once a job is secured, students can apply for an employment visa.
New Zealand
As ranking is concern, New Zealand positions #12 among the top countries of the world where students can be offered a post-study work visa and, of course, for its higher education too. It required students to study in New Zealand and should have accomplished basically Level 4 education qualification framework or even higher. Those with Level 4-6 educational qualifications can get a post-study work visa.
